The Wedding Film Of Aaron and Tayla
“From the way you smile to the way you look
You capture me unlike no other
From the first hello, yeah, that’s all it took
And suddenly we had each other“
Set in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside, it was a delight to be chosen as the wedding cinematographer for Aaron and Tayla’s wedding. Their wedding date was perfectly determined as the day when exactly 11 years ago they first met. What’s more, with the beautiful surroundings and stunning medieval architecture, Bassmead Manor is the perfect place for a barn wedding. In the eleven years since the bride Tayla and the groom, Aaron met, they have certainly been on a fantastic journey together, and this was shown in the incredibly emotional speeches that both newlyweds gave. Tears were brimming, not only in the eyes of the bride and groom but the rest of the congregation too. As a wedding cinematographer, this was a powerful moment to capture for their wedding film. Set in the 300-year old barn, decorated beautifully for Tayla and Aaron’s nuptials, the bride and groom told the world what they loved about each other, from being strong and ambitious, to being each other’s best friend. Their friends also gave speeches; one such speech talked about the three essential aspects of a successful marriage; love, trust and forgiveness. After sealing their vows with a kiss, it was time for the celebratory drinks reception to toast the new happy couple.
The wedding reception
The wedding reception was beautifully designed with stunning finishing touches. For example, the champagne table was finished with rustic wooden blocks that really gave the wedding a woodland charm. Similarly, I loved the surroundings of Bassmead Manor, such as an old felled tree which was a fantastic backdrop to take some footage of the newlyweds for their wedding film. The rustic, woodland feel ave the wedding a fairytale charm which was a delight to capture in my cinematography. After the drinks reception, wedding breakfast and cake cutting; it was time for the bride and groom and all of their guests to dance the night away to celebrate such a fantastic day and perfect wedding. Aaron and Tayla’s first dance as to a beautiful song by Nathan Sykes and was the perfect song for a wedding;
“From the heat of night to the break of day
I’ll keep you safe and hold you forever
And the sparks will fly, they will never fade
‘Cause every day gets better and better“
It was a pleasure to meet Aaron and Tayla and create a bespoke wedding film for their special day; I wish the lovely newlyweds all the happiness as they begin the next chapter of their life together.
