Providing the cinematography for a Timesh and Nehal’s Felbridge Hotel wedding was a pleasure. The lovebirds created wedding alchemy by mixing their Hindu culture with the elegant hotel and gardens in West Sussex which made an excellent backdrop for the celebrations. All the bright colours of the female guests’ outfits were a welcome contrast to dreary British skies as guests happily milled around, chatting and catching up with friends and family. One of the aspects that make a Hindu wedding so enjoyable is that they don’t wait until the ceremony is over to start celebrating. The groom and his guests gather behind drummers to dance their way to the venue where the bride’s family are waiting to greet them with sweets. Not only does it put a smile on everyone’s face, but it’s also a great way for a groom to expend any nervous energy! The wedding room was breathtaking. Statues of the Hindu god Ganesha lined the white aisle, and the crimson chair bows on the white covers mirrored the rose covered wedding dais which was elevated to allow all guests an uninterrupted view of the proceedings. These highlighted the vibrant red and gold of Nehal’s gown, while the white reflected Timesh’s outfit. The effect was of a timeless beauty which will look as stylish when they show their grandchildren their wedding video as it does now. I’m never tired of being a wedding videographer. There is always something that happens on the day or when I am editing the footage that makes me sit back and catch my breath in wonder. At this wedding it was the strength of emotion on display. The love joy the families felt for the happy couple was tangible and it was a privilege to witness it. The Felbridge was a fantastic choice for a wedding venue with comfortable function rooms, pretty gardens, and exceptional service that provides a seamless day. It worked wonderfully as a setting for this Hindu wedding and would work equally well for any formal function. Congratulations to Timesh and Nehal, and best wishes for your future. Thank you for letting me play a role in your special day.
