Muslim wedding in Hylands House – Jassim and Hanna
In the grand setting of Hylands Estate in Essex, we witnessed the beautiful wedding day between a couple who couldn’t be more perfect for each other; Hanna and Jassim. The day was full of joy, excitement and jubilant celebration for a couple looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.
The regal and majestic setting of Hylands House was the perfect location for Hanna and Jassim’s fairy-tale Muslim wedding. The unique design of Hylands Estate means that the wedding space is both grand yet intimate, it is the ideal location for celebrating with loved ones, friends and family and beginning the start of a new life together.
The timeless glamour of the venue is thanks to its period features and intricate design elements; the grandeur truly added to the occasion as we watched Hanna float down the meticulously restored stairway into her wedding. The manicured grounds provided a look out for relaxation and contemplation to still the pre-wedding nerves as well as a chance for the couple to escape the party and celebrate their momentous day alone, even if only for a few minutes!
The love Jassim and Hanna share is truly special as Jassim says in the wedding video created that Hanna; “Pulled me from dark into the light. May our dreams come true as we dream together.” The joy that filled the room and emanated from all the guests was truly a sight every cinematographer wishes for. It was easy to film the happiness of the occasion and the energy and buzz of excitement that filled the room.
The bride, Hanna, looked utterly mesmerising in her beautiful flowing white gown adorned with intricate lace and Jassim made a suitable match in his stylish and sophisticated navy suit with a complementing green silk tie. All of the guests were immaculately presented, and the sequins on the dresses create sparkle and shimmer across the room, bringing it to life.
Throughout the ceremony, loved ones made speeches that truly reflected the importance of not only the wedding but of their marriage. During the wedding, Mohammed (peace be upon him) was quoted; “Marriage is the bonding of two souls…It is the most beautiful relationship in all of the heavens and the earth…Their destiny in life has now become one”. It was clear this was not merely a wedding but a strong, loving commitment to their marriage.
The wedding party took the time to marvel at the grounds of Hylands Estate with romantic pastel coloured rose petals being thrown over the bride and groom. After dining in a beautifully decorated and stylish room, the bride and groom cut their lavish four-tiered wedding cake, and the party was in full flow. For me as a wedding cinematographer, it is hard not to get carried away in the fun and excitement but is highly enjoyable to film the celebratory atmosphere and the time that the bride and groom get to have fun and relax after a momentous day.
While the wedding film created captures all of the joy of the wedding day, it also gives a glimpse into the marriage and how happy Jassim and Hanna will be.
