Chiswick house and gardens wedding film – Anand & Sandhya

The Wedding Of Anand & Sandhya

The setting of the beautiful Chiswick House and Gardens was the perfect backdrop for Sandhya and Anand’s incredible wedding day. While the weather may not have been what was hoped for, the beauty of the setting, thoughtful touches and masses of happy guests certainly made sure the rain was the last thing on anybody’s minds.

The Wedding Day At Chiswick House

The wedding day began as the groom, Anand arrived, in a procession of luxury Mercedes cars. Drummers were in the driveway of the incredibly 18th century Chiswick House to welcome the groom and his family and friends. There were dancing, singing and plenty of enjoyment to begin the wedding and give the groom the introduction he deserves. Chiswick House and Gardens are well-known for breaking the landscaping rule book throughout the ages which has given the ground a modern, yet timeless appeal. Sandhya and Anand set their wedding in a huge, beautiful marquee in the grounds so that they could make the most of the stunning views and scenery. Of course, the beautiful bride, Sandhya made a grand entrance too, ensuring there were few dry eyes in the room, before beginning a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. As a Hindu wedding cinematographer, I love to film all of the special rituals that take place at the wedding. The exchange of pink floral garlands was incredibly symbolic. One that particularly stood out for me at the marriage of Sandhya and Anand is the Kalasha. The wedding party brought the offerings of coconuts which is traditionally submitted by the couple as an offering to the Gods. In Hindu culture, the Kalasha becomes a symbol of ‘the source of life’ and abundance which is what every guest wishes for the newlywed couple. With other traditions completed around the sacred fire and the marriage complete, it was certainly time to celebrate.

Guests Across The Globe

The wedding party was vast, with guests travelling across the globe to be there for Sandhya and Anand’s special day. What’s more, many of the friends and family of the couple gave speeches which were lovely to hear as so many people shared their thoughts and blessings to the couple. In the beautiful marquee that was filled with trees full of white blossom, it was a picturesque scene which was perfect for filming speeches. Both the bride and groom also gave a speech, and everyone could feel like they were a part of their amazing wedding day. After the dinner and the speeches, there was a stunning rose covered three-tiered wedding cake to cut and then it was time for music, dancing and celebration. An outfit change by the bride and groom ensured they were still the stars of the show but could really make the most of the dancefloor. For wedding cinematography, it was such a joy to watch everyone smiling, laughing and embracing as well as seeing a packed dancefloor while guests danced the night away.
It was pleasure to work with Photographer Slawa Walczak. Slawa massive thank you for your recommendations to this amazing wedding!
