At the beautiful Tewin Bury Farm Hotel in Hertfordshire, I was privileged to be the wedding cinematographer for a wonderful couple Dina and Dilip. The location was the perfect backdrop for a beautiful wedding day with stunning scenery, a tranquil stream and endless countryside as far as the eye could see. Tewin Bury made an excellent location for friends and family to gather together and celebrate this momentous day with the blissfully happy couple.
Wedding build-up
Excitement and anticipation were the order for the day as the bride, Dina, got ready for her big day. Watching eagerly out of the window at the celebrations below, it was a joy to capture her happiness and excitement for her wedding film.
As is traditional with a Hindu wedding ceremony, the groom’s arrival was a significant affair. Pulling up to the location in a pristine black Bentley, Dilip was greeted with music, dancing and many smiling faces. With friends and family gathering, it was time to take the procession into the temple. As everyone was seated in eager anticipation for the bride’s arrival, the guests could enjoy beautiful and emotional scenes as flower girls and bridesmaids walked up the aisle, followed by dancers until it was time for Dina to make her grand entrance.
The wedding ceremony
Dina chose a beautiful dusty-pink wedding dress, complete with dazzling jewels and a lovely delicate green veil; she took the breath away from all her guests as she made her way up the aisle. Dilip was the perfect match as he wore traditional white and gold dress befitting for the groom on his special day.
After the unveiling of the bride and groom at the start of their ceremony, the happy couple barely took their eyes off each other as they smiled with pure happiness, relishing in their perfect wedding day. After presenting each other with flower garlands and making the traditional walk around the holy fire, Dilip and Dina became husband and wife. Showering the newlyweds in confetti, the guests rejoiced in the couple’s happiness and commitment to a life together.
With happiness, laughter and embraces all round, the bride completed the ceremony with high-fives to her friends. From there, the fun and laughter continued for the rest of the wedding day as everyone celebrated this momentous and happy occasion.
The wedding celebrations
After the wedding ceremony was over, and Dilip and Dina were officially married, it was time to celebrate. In picturesque grounds, the couple took time alone to cherish the commitment they had made and enjoyed romantic embraces before joining the rest of their friends and family to dance the night away.
Once the wedding cake was cut, it was time for the first dance. Everyone watched on with pride as the couple danced their way around a beautiful twinkling dancefloor. After the first dance, friends and family joined in. There were selfies, dancing, romance, and happiness which was a fantastic moment to film and as a cinematographer, there were so many happy faces to capture to make sure I showcased the incredible atmosphere that was felt under a beautiful clear night’s sky.
