The Cotswolds Spa & Hotel wedding film – Amy and Tom
The Wedding Of Amy and Tom
The quaint, picturesque Cotswold region is the perfect place for a truly memorable wedding. Amy and Tom took advantage of the stunning surroundings for their beautiful wedding. Taking place at the Cotswold Hotel and Spa in a fabulous marquee, Amy and Tom said ‘I do’ with wonderful views and the luxury of the hotel to celebrate their marriage with all their friends, family and loved ones. I was delighted to be asked by Amy and Tom to be their wedding cinematographer and create their Cotswold wedding film. It was clear from the outset the wedding would be a very British and very fun affair! The wedding managed to celebrate all of the best things about the Cotswolds and Britain, from quaint china teacups and saucers adorning every table, plenty of Pimm’s, fairground games, a traditional red letterbox and even an ice cream van!
A Bright, Floral Wedding Day
Amy and Tom filled their wedding with flowers and colour which, as a wedding cinematographer, it was a joy to capture all of the bright colours even though the weather was slightly overcast. As the wedding day began, Amy got ready with her bridesmaids, and I split my time filming the preparations of the bride and the groom. The huge marquee was so impressive. Two adorable flower girls began proceedings as they shyly scattered flowers up the aisle. However, the beautiful bride, Amy well and truly stole the show as she walked up the aisle to meet Tom. A touching moment as Amy was escorted up the aisle with a loved one on either side of her. Her white lace dress was a showstopper, with colour added through her bold, bright bouquet. This bouquet perfectly matched Tom’s tie which was full of colour too! During the civil service, there were lots of readings by friends and family to make the ceremony unique to Amy and Tom and even more special for all of the guests. Some of the lovely quotes that I had to include in the wedding film include; “Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burnt away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.” “Those who truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground. When all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree, not two.” After this reading, there was barely a dry eye in the room! After the couple said ‘I do’ and their marriage begins the colourful confetti thrown and the guests were treated to celebratory Pimm’s on the lawn. As a wedding cinematographer, it was a joy to capture all of the fun and laughter as the guests made the most of the lawn games and fairground themed attractions.
The Wedding Reception
After the drinks the marquee was ready for the wedding breakfast. Each place setting had a cute cup and saucer and plenty of flowers that brought the room to life. here was even a floral bike on display. Over dinner guests signed the wedding book, talked about the memories and funny stories of the couple. They also admired the cute childhood pictures of the couple which made great bunting decoration. After guests had made full use of the ice cream van on site, with Tom even getting in the van to serve up the scoops, it was time for the party to commence. A band performed as Tom and Amy had their first wedding dance. After that, the band continued to play, and the dance floor filled up with guests partying the night away!
