The wedding ceremony between Sarah and Craig was a true sign of fairytale magic. A relationship already spanning 11 years, Sarah and Craig began the life together as childhood sweethearts. With such a strong, unbreakable bond, it was a joy to be their cinematographer for their civil ceremony at the glorious Marlston House in Berkshire.

A timeless love story

Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you, was beyond my control. The beautiful love story between Sarah and Craig was the primary focus of the day. The heartfelt speeches given ensured that everyone knew how their love began and continued to flourish from childhood to their wedding day. Set in the beautiful surroundings of an elegant country house, it was the perfect place for Mr and Mrs Townsend to celebrate their love with friends and family. Craig’s impressive speech ensured there was not a single dry eye in the room. It was indeed a love that everyone wishes to find and is certainly the makings of a true love story. Craig told the story perfectly in his speech. In his speech, Craig talked about their friendship as children, walking home from school to their ‘unbreakable bond’ that led them to go to university together. It seems their adventure continues to get better and better as in the last year; they’ve not only bought a house together but geared up the celebrate the best day of their lives; becoming Mr and Mrs Townsend.

Celebrating in style

“The future for me is already a thing of the past – you were my first love, and you will be my last” – Bob Dylan. For the perfect love story needed the perfect backdrop. Marlston House, filled with period features is the ideal setting for a fairytale wedding video. Fortunately, as a cinematographer, I had been lucky enough to have experienced the wedding venue before for a wedding video I have filmed previously. The wedding reception began on the breathtaking grounds of Marlston House. With a beautiful terrace, overlooking the expansive lawns. With a celebratory drink in hand, guests got the chance to congratulate the newlywed couple. The wedding party then moved into the grand hall, with white roses and bouquets filling the room. As the guests filed in, they welcomed the married couple into the room. Sarah looked beautiful and Craig handsome as they both had beaming smiles, it was clear they were made for each other. After dining and drinks flowing, space was made for the band. Once the music kicked in, the dancefloor was filled with friends and family who all wanted to celebrate the joy and happiness of the newlywed couple. With such a romantic story, beautiful setting and a fantastic atmosphere with friends and family, it was a wonderful wedding to film and a joy to be a part of.
